Jamaica Rum - Clarendon 2010
Royal Cane Jamaica 2010.jpg

Tasting Notes:

This pale golden amber rum has aromas of candied bananas, grilled pineapple, and plums, with hints of glue and tar.

The palate is more delicate, with a smooth silky texture. Fruity pot still notes of banana and pineapple up front, making way for more tar and smoke.

The finish is full of complexity with notes of menthol, tanned leather, and charred oak.

History of the Cask:

The Rum in this cask aged for 8 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica, where the interaction between the wood and the Rum is very intense due to the heat. This tropical aging time has given the Rum its deep woody character. In 2018 the cask traveled the Atlantic Ocean towards the United Kingdom for an additional 4 years maturation in the historic docks of Liverpool.
