Guyana Rum - D.D.L. 2013
Royal Cane Guyana 2013.jpg

Tasting Notes:

A deep golden hue in the glass. The nose has distinct aromas of unripe banana, toffee, and sweet nutty notes of lightly roasted pecans and marzipan.

The palate is striking, yet smooth, with more fruit and nuts and chocolate notes that slowly transform into an oaky spice.

Slight hints of sawdust and smoke linger long on the palate, along the aftertaste of chocolate and trail mix.

History of the Cask:

A beautiful expression from D.D.L. in Guyana, distilled in their famous Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still. The Rum was distilled from molasses in 2013 and aged for 9 years in an ex-Bourbon cask in the historic docks of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
