Barbados Rum - Foursquare 2005
Royal Cane Barbados 2005.jpg

Tasting Notes:

In the glass, we see a medium golden brown hue and smell the aromas of banana, coconut, buttery pastry, and oak. The rich and mouth-filling texture reminds of creamy vanilla custard and Danish pastry. Overripe bananas and toasted coconut dominate the mid-palate. The finish is long and pleasant with hints of oak and cinnamon.

History of the Cask:

Another beautiful expression from Foursquare Rum Distillery, distilled in 2005. The Rum in this cask is a blend of pot still Rums and column still Rums, blended before the cask was filled. After distillation the Rum was filled into an American white oak cask at the distillery in 2005, where it tropically aged until 2017, before being shipped to the United Kingdom for further maturation in the historic docks of Liverpool.
